Shipboard piping packs big systems into small hulls – fittings must save space, resist salt, and survive vibration. We supply fittings and flanges for marine engine rooms, ballast, firemain and HVAC systems.
Marine Fitting Packages
- Engine room – short-radius elbows and compact tees where frames pinch; SR costs pressure drop but saves hull space
- Ballast and bilge – A234 WPB with marine coating, plate flanges on utility headers
- Firemain – galvanized carbon steel fittings, grooved or flanged ends
- Cooling seawater – WP316L stainless or lined systems, stub ends + lap joint flanges for dismantling heat exchangers
- HVAC – light-wall stainless and galvanized carbon fittings
Marine-Specific Considerations
Vibration favors welded joints over mechanical ones – butt weld fittings per B16.9 dominate critical systems. Salt spray demands coating discipline: galvanized or epoxy-coated carbon steel, 316L near open decks. Space rules: SR elbows and reducing tees shrink the piping envelope; lap joint pairs simplify removal of pumps and coolers for service. Class society requirements (DNV, ABS, LR, CCS) – fittings with mill certificates meeting class survey needs; discuss your society with us.
FAQs
Do you supply class-certified fittings? Mill certificates (EN 10204 3.1) support class surveys; specific society type-approval depends on the product – send your class requirement for confirmation.
Small mixed BOMs for shipyards? Yes – yard orders are mixed-size by nature; we supply tagged packages per system. Send the BOM.

Ballast, Bilge & Firemain Details
Ballast lines cycle between full and empty – corrosion allowance and coating quality decide life; we supply coated carbon steel fittings with marine-grade epoxy. Bilge suctions use capped spools with strainers. Firemain rings use galvanized fittings with flanged take-offs at every hydrant – plate flanges keep the cost down on the many branch points.
Working With Shipyards
Yard BOMs arrive mixed: dozens of sizes across DN50-DN500 in three materials. We supply system-tagged packages (ballast/bilge/firemain/HVAC separated), matched schedules per line, and consolidated shipment to the yard or outfitting pier. Partial deliveries aligned to build stages are normal – tell us the block schedule.
